Team Luna Chix

Team Luna Chix

Team Luna Chix incorporates mountain bike, cyclocross and multi-sport (triathlon and XTERRA) into their team. In 2009 at the Mountain Bike World Series, a member of the LUNA team stepped onto every podium (team and individual classification). In 2008, members of the Luna mountain bike team competed at the Olympic Games in Beijing. Maxxis is a proud sponsor of the Luna Chix!

Listening to my body and not overextending myself.

Winning the XC national championships in 2006. I think I surprised everyone- including myself!

Crashing on a steep, muddy downhill at the Offenburg world cup and having my bike shoot off into the crowd. Luckily a spectator found it and brought it back over to the course. (Actually, maybe it would have been luckier if it stayed lost…)

The tires perform well in a wide range of conditions: the Crossmark, Larsen TT and Aspen are all tires that you can ride on pretty much any course. I like that I don't have to worry about switching tires every race.

Working in my garden, cooking, reading.

The race in Santa Ynez, CA in 2008. I got heat stroke, blacked out and had to go to the hospital. Coming back from that race took a long time.

Joan Jett and the Blackhearts, The White Stripes, Led Zeppelin, Macy Gray, T. Rex, The Rolling Stones, Talking Heads, The English Beat and plenty of other random stuff.

Super fans! Anyone that comes out and cheers/heckles at a bike race.
