Babbitt’s Continues Arenacross Streak
1/18/2010With Tyler Bowers winning Rounds 3 and 4, Team Babbitt’s and Maxxcross continue to dominate the AMA Arenacross series. Bowers holds the lead in overall standings, with teammates Chad Johnson and Josh Demuth in the second and fourth place spots. The third and fourth rounds of AMA Arenacross were held January 15-16 in Baltimore, Maryland.
Bowers overcame an early challenge to take the front position in Round 3, grabbing the lead and holding it for the rest of the race. His Babbitt’s’ teammates also made it into the top five, with Demuth finishing third and Johnson fifth. The following night, Bowers quickly took the lead and again held it for the remainder of the contest. Johnson grabbed the third place spot with Demuth in fourth place.
The team has now won all four races of the current season. Just a week before the Baltimore events, Johnson took the victory in Round 1 and Bowers began his current streak with a win in Round 2.
