Babbitt’s Sweeps Top 3 at Arenacross Prequel
11/10/2009In the run-up to next year’s Arenacross series, Maxxis tires came through for Team Babbitt’s. Riding Maxxcross SX, Tyler Bowers, Josh Demuth and Chad Johnson swept the top three at the Arenacross prequel, held November 7 in Des Moines, Iowa.
Bowers took the lead mid-way through the race and held it through the rest of the contest. “This feels pretty good,” he told Arenacross.com. “Josh was there at the end and kept me honest, but I just settled in and pulled away. I came out like a rocket ship off the line and settled into third, made a couple passes and maintained my pace.”
A separate event not connected to the 2010 Arenacross series, the prequel is held annually in advance of the next season. The first race of the 2010 Arenacross season is scheduled for January 8-10 in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
