Bonds Wins WORCS Round 8
9/02/2008Leading his nearest rival by more than a minute, Bobby Bonds rode Maxxcross to victory in Round 8 of the WORCS series. The race was held August 29-31 in Monticello, Utah.
Bonds took an early lead and held it throughout the race, finishing in 2:03:32.6 hours. The Pro class win was his first of the year. “We at Maxxis are so excited to be part of Bobby Bonds’ visit to the top of the box. He’s earned it,” said Mark Wilson, manager of Maxxis’ specialty department. “We congratulate him and thank him for making Maxxcross his tire choice to win.”
With two events left in the season, Bonds is second in the race for the title. His Round 8 victory does not affect the series’ overall points ranking because of a temporary rule change.
