Deegan Wins LOORRS’ Pro 2 and Pro Lite Titles
12/15/2011A win and a podium spot clinched Brian Deegan’s championships in two classes of the 2011 LOORRS season. Deegan locked down Pro 2 and Pro Lite titles at Round 15 of the series, held December 10 in Phoenix, Arizona.
Deegan took the lead in the third lap of the Pro Lite race and regained it even after a full-course caution forced a restart. His tenth Pro Lite victory of the season sealed his title. Later, in the day’s final race, Deegan’s third-place finish was more than enough to deliver the Pro 2 championship, the series’ first-ever for a class rookie. No other driver has ever won both classes in the same year.
The Metal Mulisha General’s Maxxis tires, the Razr SCR for Pro 2 and the Bighorn for Pro Lite, came through for him as they have throughout the season.
