Maxxis Sweeps Podium at Montreal Supermotocross
10/03/2012Riders on Maxxis’ Razr tires took all three top spots at the 35th Montreal Supermotocross, held September 29 in Canada. Chad Wienen took the victory, with Thomas Brown and Josh Creamer in second and third places. All three riders chose Orange Label Razr MX rear tires and Razr Cross fronts for the race.
Wienen took the holeshot in the day’s main race and held his lead through to the finish line. “I had a great start in the heat race and came around the first turn in the lead, and then got blocked in the second turn. By the third turn, I was out front again and ended up going 1-2 with Thomas Brown in the heat,” He said. “The track was tight, but my starts were there all weekend. I ripped another holeshot in the main and rode my own race. We were catching lappers in like five laps. The track was hooked up, and the tires were breaking loose just as much as I needed them to.”
Brown and Creamer traded the second-place spot for most of the race, eventually finishing second and third. Brown praised his tires after the race in comments to ATVriders.com: “I had a great race! My start wasn’t so good, but my Yamaha pulled awesome and was able to make a pass that moved me from fifth to second position. It was just a really clean race. My Moto-Xperts motor worked awesome, and my Maxxis tires had unbelievable traction.”
Maxxis congratulates Chad Wienen on his victory and thanks Thomas Brown and Josh Creamer for their fine performances.
