Mtn. Khakis’ Keough Wins USA CRITS Title, Mtn. Khakis Takes Team Title

A double-victory for Team SmartStop/Mountain Khakis at the inaugural Tour of Vail: Luke Keough took his second straight USA CRITS title after winning the criterium, while SmartStop/Mountain Khakis clinched the overall team title. This is the fourth time in the history of the team that they have taken home both the individual and team overall titles. The Tour of Vail was held September 30 in Colorado.

Keough won with a heart-stopping dive in the final corner of the race. “Last year [winning the series] was really big for me,” said Keough. “It wasn’t a goal going into this season, where I was [going] more for race wins. But winning it again shows consistency, especially since the series is more seriously contested now and more dynamic.” In addition to his series championship, Keough was also named Maxxis Tires Best Young Men’s Rider.
