Vanden Heuvel Wins TORC Round 7
7/13/2009The most competitive class in off-road racing was no match for Dan Vanden Heuvel as he roared to victory at Round 7 of the TORC series, bringing Maxxis its first-ever win in the series’ Pro 2WD class. The race was held July 11 in Bark River, Michigan.
Thrilling the crowd of 12,000, the Flying Dutchman held the lead for almost the entire nine-lap race. “Everything from the transmission to the gears to the tires just performed perfect, and that’s what they have to do all race-long to win,” said Vanden Heuvel, adding that his Trepadors gave him great traction on loose soil.
