I am the manager of a tire shop keep informed with a different kinds of tread designs for various applications and I must say that Maxxis should be given much more credit than it deserves. I own an 07 Nissan Frontier 4cyl. 2wd truck and run 32x11.50R15 bighorns and they are truely an amazing tire. Not only do they perform offroad, they are surprisingly capable on the street( and believe, i do). An excellent tire at a great price.
These are the best snows money can buy, I tried to get these stuck in a snow drift 3 feet high, but no dice. great tires!!!
i love my buckshots!!! they pull like wild off road even in the sand they pull good! off road they ride nice & smooth!!! they have great wear!!!
i had 99 chevy with 315's .tires were good in mud and on road.currently running 315's on 00 ext cab z71 have 34000 on them at least 10k left. im in process of buying crewcab z71 will be getting 305/70/17 bighorns,not a better tire out there for the price.
I've had quite a few sets of these over the past few years, and still buy them. I had a set of 35x12.50R15 on a lifted dodge ram, I swapped them for a set of super swampers and after a week went right back. the swampers were twice the cost and half the tire. surprisingly nice street manners and a*s kicking off-road tire. excellent product, will use till they stop making them!!
