Baron, Yorba Win Big 6 Round 4, Jones Wins TransWorld MX Round 4

The first weekend in May brought good news for Maxxis as the company’s sponsored riders took wins and podiums in major series.  Beau Baron and Eric Yorba won races at Round 4 of the AMA Big6 Grand Prix, with fellow Maxxis rider Justin Seeds in second place behind Yorba, while Justin Jones took the victory at Round 4 of TransWorld MX. Danny Prather and David Scott won the Quad Pro race at Best in the Desert’s Silver State 300. In other good news for Maxxis, Bobby Prochnau, Rachel Gutish and Chantelle Bykerk each did well at the EnduroCross season kick-off.

High temperatures and wind did not deter FMF/ RPM/ KTM Racing Team Maxxis’ Yorba, who grabbed the lead in the second lap and held it through the finish line. Seeds successfully fended off another rider in the race for second. Fellow Maxxis rider Tatum Sik won the Women’s class. Baron topped the Quad Expert podium for Maxxis.

In a double-triumph, Jones took victories in both Pro Open and 450A at TransWorld MX Round 4. The FMF/ RPM/ KTM Racing Team Maxxis rider won with “blistering fast lap times” according to TransWorld.net. The race was held May 4 at Glen Helen Raceway in San Bernardino, California.

The team of Prather and Scott won the brutal Silver State 300 in 6 hours, 13 minutes and 20 seconds. The race was held May 2-4 in Nevada.

FMF/RPM/KTM Racing Team Maxxis’ Prochnau won the Open Class LCQ and waged a fierce battle for his fourth-place spot in the overall at EnduroCross Round 1, held May 2 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Prochnau’s teammate and Women’s class defending champion Bykerk took sixth for the class, while the team’s Rachel Gutish took fourth.

Maxxis congratulates Beau Baron, Eric Yorba, Tatum Sik, Justin Jones, Danny Prather, David Scott and Bobby Prochnau on their victories and thanks all of its riders for their fine performances.
