Wienen Leads Maxxis Podium Sweep at Monster Mountain STVMX National

Chad Wienen remains undefeated in this season’s ATVMX National Championship series. In a sweep of the podium by Maxxis riders, Wienen won the overall at Round 3, The Monster Mountain ATVMX National, with Joel Hetrick in second place and Jeffrey Rastrelli completing the sweep in third.

Hetrick was the top qualifier and later took the holeshot in the first moto. Wienen was close behind, with Maxxis’ Ronnie Higgerson and Rastrelli following as part of a four-man group. Hetrick and Wienen went on to finish first and second for the moto, while Rastrelli and Higgerson took fourth and fifth place respectively.

Wienen gained the lead by the end of the first lap in Moto 2, and held the front spot through to the finish line, but Hetrick suffered a crash which sidelined him for part of the moto. Rastrelli took third place, and a determined Hetrick rallied to finish the race in fifth place.

In the points race, Hetrick holds second place behind Wienen, while Rastrelli and Higgerson are fifth and sixth respectively. Maxxis congratulates Chad Wienen on the latest in his series of victories, and thanks Joel Hetrick, Jeffrey Rastrelli, Ronnie Higgerson and all of its riders for their fine performances.
