Chad Wienen clinched his ATV MX championship over the weekend with a fourth straight race victory. Wienen secured the title, his third in as many seasons, with a win at Round 8 of the series, held July 26 in Buchanan, Michigan.

Wienen won both motos decisively, taking and holding the lead soon after the start of the first moto, and leading from start to finish in the second. The victory, his sixth of the year, gave him an insurmountable overall lead, with 383 points and one race left in the season.

Wienen Motorsports/SSi Decals/Walsh Yamaha’s Thomas Brown took fourth place in both motos and was fourth for the weekend. Brown is third in Pro points to date, with 295. Fellow Maxxis rider Josh Upperman was 7-3 in the two motos and was fifth for the weekend. Upperman is also fifth in points.

Maxxis congratulates Chad Wienen on a third consecutive championship, and thanks him and all its riders for choosing the brand of champions.
