WORCS ATV Podium Sweep Among Highlights of Winning Weekend for Maxxis

In a weekend filled with great results, Maxxis’ sponsored riders swept the Pro ATV podium at WORCS Round 2, while Tyler Bowers and Zach Ames were 1-2 at Round 6 of the AMSOIL Arenacross series.

H&M Motorsports’ David Haagsma topped the Pro podium at WORCS Round 2, with teammate Beau Baron in second place and Maxxis’ sponsored rider Josh Row in third. The race was held February 7-9 in Primm, Nevada. The victory was the first of the season for Haagsma, who also won the Production 1000 SxS race, with Matt Hancock in second place. Baron, the defending Pro champion, won the Pro SxS race.

In other good news for Maxxis’ riders in WORCS’ ATV contests, Ryan Waldo made the Pro Am podium in third place, Donna Ellsworth won the Women A race, and Rick Ellsworth won both the 30+ and the 50+ classes.

WORCS’ motorcycle races also held good news for Maxxis, as RPM Racing’s Justin Jones took third place in Pro, with teammate Eric Yorba in fourth place. Steven Gibson won the Pro 2 race, with RPM Racing’s Travis Coy in second place. Michael Del Fante won the Pro 2 Lights, while Tatum Sik took second place in Women’s Pro.

In the National Hare & Hound series, Rily Ellinger won the Women’s A overall, while Colt Brinkerhoff took first place overall in ATV A. Round 2 of the series was held February 8-9 in Red Mountain, California.

Elsewhere in California, defending champion Tyler Bowers won both mains to take the overall victory at Arenacross Round 6. Bowers’ teammate, fellow Babbitt's Monster Energy/AMSOIL Kawasaki presented by Maxxis rider Zach Ames, took second place in both mains for second place overall. The weekend’s results tightened Ames’ lead over Bowers in the overall standings to three points. Round 6 was held February 8-9 in Sacramento.
