Two More TORC Wins for CJ Greaves, Seven More Podiums for Maxxis

CJ Greaves added two more wins to his season total with victories in Pro 4 and Pro 2 at the latest weekend of TORC racing, while Maxxis drivers took a whopping seven additional podiums. Greaves’ Pro 2 win clinched his third straight championship in the class. Greaves also holds the points lead for the Pro 4 class, with his father, Johnny Greaves, just six points behind in second place. TORC Rounds 11 and 12 were held August 19-20 in Charlotte, North Carolina.

CJ’s first victory came in Friday’s Pro 4 race. He grabbed the lead soon after another driver’s mishap forced a restart, and held the front spot through the rest of the race. Fellow Maxxis driver Chad Hord joined him on the podium in third place.

Later that day, two Maxxis title-sponsored drivers stood on the Pro 2 podium, when CJ and Kyle Hart earned second and third place after battling through the entire race. “Kyle and I had our differences in the first race of the year, but my hat’s off to him,” CJ told torcseries.com. “He ran a great race and ran me clean the whole race; I couldn’t ask for anything better. It was a blast! I saw him peeking inside of me in all the corners, and every little mistake I would make, he would be right there again.”

Jessie Johnson claimed a podium for Maxxis when he earned second place in Pro Light. In Saturday’s Pro 2 race, CJ and Hart were first and second, while Kent Brascho and Johnny Greaves, who held the lead for a time, were second and third in Pro 4.

Maxxis congratulates CJ Greaves on his latest victories and thanks Chad Hord, Kyle Hart, Jessie Johnson, Kent Brascho and Johnny Greaves for their fine performances.
