The conference drew over 300 attendees from 45 countries across Asia and Africa as well as Europe, Australia and North, Central and South America.

The conference allowed company officials to recognize and reward distributors who delivered outstanding performances in 2014. Maxxis leaders also reviewed and reinforced the company’s philosophy, which has as its foundation the idea that the company, its distributors and its vendors actually form an extended family.

Distributors heard presentations from a diverse set of speakers, including Maxxis President Dr. Wally Chen, Dr. Stephen Lu of the University of Southern California and Dr. Chu of National Chiao Tung University in Taiwan. Attendees also toured Maxxis’ world-class tire proving ground, one of the largest and most advanced in China, as well as the company’s Shanghai factory and R&D center. Each distributor was treated to a ride around the proving ground with a test driver, who tackled the course’s 45-degree banks at speeds of up to 260 kilometers an hour. Entertainment included performances by a traditional Chinese live band and Old Shanghai Jazz Band as well as acrobatic and mask-changing shows.
