In a first in the history of the series, one team has won theRainforest Challenge Grand Final<\/a>\u00a0<\/span>for the third year in a row. After besting brutal conditions and world-class competition through the entire event, which ran from November 23 \u2013 December 5,\u00a0<\/span> eam Maxxis 4×4 Malaysia<\/a>\u00a0<\/span>took the win for 2017. eams from 36 countries, including Russia, Hong Kong\/China, Ecuador, Colombia, Indonesia, hailand, Sri Lanka, the Philippines, Vietnam, and India, traveled to the Malaysian state of Pahang to compete in the race.<\/p>\n

he prologue of the multi-stage race set the tone for the event, with a downpour which continued into the second day, leading to rising water levels. he opening stage also included a 30-foot vertical wall climb, for which eam Maxxis for which was forced to employ winch ropes. After slogging through multiple stages of muddy, rocky terrain, fighting off leeches and sand flies, and racing the wilight Zone, a stage in which teams raced in darkness, eam Maxxis 4×4 Malaysia emerged in first place. he team earned the overall championship, the Portal Axle Class championship, the Best Petrol Engine 2000cc \u2013 3000cc championship, and the Most Outstanding wilight Zone eam Award.<\/p>\n
