Kincaid Wins Championship Off-Road Round 9 as Maxxis Takes Multiple Wins and Podiums at Dirt City

Keegan Kincaid conquered the jumps, whoops, tight corners and split lanes of the Dirt City Motorplex course over the weekend, maintaining his first place in Championship Off-Road Pro 2 points. Kincaid won Round 9, while other Maxxis athletes were all over the podium at the Dirt City Off-Road National in Lena, Wisconsin.

Maxxis owned the Pro Buggy class at Dirt City with victories for Billy Buth at Round 9 and Chaden Minder at Round 10. Both were also on the podium at each round: Minder took second place at Round 9 and Buth was third at Round 10. “This one feels good! Stoked to be back on top here in Lena! Went 2,1 on the weekend on cloud 9!” Minder said on Instagram.

Nick Byng, who has a 13-point lead in Super Stock Truck points, landed on the podium both days in second place and took a victory during the weekend as well. “What a weekend at Dirt City Motorplex which is just down the road in Lena. Started the weekend off by making a small mistake and having to work my way through traffic to take home a 2nd place finish. Then I got the opportunity to run the Stock Truck vs Super Stock challenge race which again working my way through traffic I was able to grab the win. Sunday, I started in 10th and worked through the traffic to start to battle for the lead but unfortunately ended up losing power steering which I then tried to keep my momentum going at that point. In the end I took home another 2nd place finish to end the weekend. The Maxxis Bravo tires hooked up all weekend long making it a great points weekend for my team and I as I still have the points lead going into Bark River in a few weeks.”

The Sportsman SxS class also belonged to Maxxis this weekend with victories for Code St. Peter on Saturday and Bryce Carlson on Sunday. Carlson was on the podium at both rounds: he earned second place at Round 9. He was elated in comments on Instagram and had praise for his Maxxis tires: “What an amazing weekend at @dirtcitymotorplex getting on the podium the first day and taking home my first win of the season on Sunday! I started in 7th and fell back a couple spots at the start but worked my way into 5th before the competition caution. After the restart it was a battle for the top 3 spots and for two laps @brycepowers55 and I were fighting for 2nd side by side and inches away from the leader. Coming back around corner 1 the leader had fell back so it was a battle for first and I made a pass to the inside stick with the Maxxis SC1’s and I was in the lead the rest of the race from there.” St. Peter currently leads the class in points, with Carlson in second place.

Rising star Peyton Weisbrod took second place at both 570 SxS rounds and holds first place in points.

Fans have less than two weeks to wait for the next Championship Off-Road rounds, the Island Resort and Casino Rumble in the U.P. in Bark River, Michigan.
