The first Enduro World Cup of 2025 kicked things off in spectacular fashion, adding excitement back to the enduro racing scene. Pietra Ligure is a rider-favorite destination and a welcome spot for the beginning of the season. The two-day, big liaison format was back, which thrilled most athletes as it added to the sense of adventure and spirit of enduro that’s made the sport so popular. The course over the two days of racing totaled around 100km with liaisons and seven timed stages.
On the first day, racers tackled three stages and around 58km of riding. This day also included the longest stage of the race – a 5.9km challenge. Maxxis athlete Ella Conolly (Cannondale Bikes) fought her way to second place on the day in Elite Women. Yeti Fox Factory Racing’s Slawomir Lukasik also finished second in Elite Men with Dan Booker (Santa Cruz Bicycles) in third and Enduro World Champion Alex Rudeau (Commencal) in fourth.
Day Two saw riders take on almost 43km of riding and four more stages. Ella Conolly cemented her status as a title contender for the year and held on to the silver medal position to end her race. In Elite Men, Dan Booker rallied to his first-ever EDR World Cup victory after an incredible performance on the final stage. Slawomir Lukasik and Alex Rudeau rounded out the podium for Maxxis, earning second and third place behind Booker. Yeti Fox Factory added the icing to the cake by taking the Team of the Day as well.
The first round of the EDR World Cup in 2025 was a success – not just for Maxxis riders, but for the sport itself. We can’t wait for the next one!
