75th Career Win for Chris Borich

Six-time GNCC champion Chris Borich rode Razr Plus tires to a major milestone at Round 4, CST Tires Camp Coker Bullet: The victory was the 75th of his career. Fellow Maxxis rider Jarrod McClure joined Borich on the podium in third place at the race, held April 14 in Society Hills, South Carolina.

In addition to marking a major achievement by Borich, a longtime Maxxis-sponsored rider, the weekend also featured the racing debut of the Razr Plus, the latest model in the company’s popular Razr line. The new Razr Plus allows for excellent steering and braking plus increased durability. Borich, who rode the Razr Plus in the rear, traded the XC1 Pro lead with another rider for most of the race, until a pass in the final lap gave him the front spot through the finish line. The Camp Coker Bullet win was the first of this season for the Maxxis/Fly Racing/Ye Olde Cycle Barn rider, who sits in second place in the points race.

McClure gained the third-place spot during the fourth lap and held it through the end of the race. The JMR/Maxxis/Elka/Moose Racing riders is seventh in point standings. Maxxis/Ithaca Recreation Sports/Fly Racing’s Hunter Hart took seventh place for the day and is sixth in series’ points.

John Glauda, Jr. continued his XC2 Pro Am winning streak, remaining undefeated so far this season. The Pierce Performance/Maxxis/Waynesburg Yamaha rider leads the class point rankings.

In WXC, Hannah Hunter rode Maxxis to third place. The race was Hunter’s third in the class.

The next GNCC race, the X-Factor Whitetails, is scheduled for May 4-5 in Peru, Indiana. Maxxis congratulates Chris Borich and John Glauda, Jr. on their victories and thanks all of these riders for their fine performances.
