Ames Takes Points Lead at Arenacross Round 2

Continuing a winning tradition, a rider from Team Babbitt’s is again dominating the Arenacross series.  Zach Ames has taken the lead in points after outstanding performances in the first two rounds. Ames has racked up 112 points to date, with defending champion Tyler Bowers in fourth overall and new Babbitt’s rider Colt Nichols in eighth place. Arenacross Round 2 was held January 10-12 in Baltimore, Maryland, and Round 1 was held January 3-5 in Worcester, Massachusetts.

Ames, who won the overall at Round 1 and was second overall at Round 2, has relied on the Maxxcross Dual SX rear and Maxxcross IT front to take him to the front of the pack, and says that they’re a great combination. Bowers, who kicked off the season with wins in both main races on the first night of Round 1, told Maxxis that his goal is to turn in consistent performances over the course of the entire season.

Maxxis congratulates Zach Ames on his overall lead, and wishes all of its riders the best in their upcoming races.
