Borich Sets Record with GNCC Round 3 Win

His latest win has taken Chris Borich to the top of the podium and into the record books. Borich has now earned 69 victories, more than any other rider in ATV history; all were on Maxxis tires. The longtime Maxxis rider won Round 3 of the GNCC season, held March 29 in Morganton, North Carolina.

The race was hard-fought, with Borich battling another rider through muddy conditions to the finish line. The win also allowed the defending champion to retake the points lead.

Walker Fowler, who held the points lead going into the race, started out strong by grabbing the holeshot, a feat which served to motivate Borich, as he told gnccracing.com:  “I wasn’t expecting it, but my big thing was to go out there and try to win this race and get a points lead. I knew it was going to be a tough race; you had to pay attention out there, be smooth and watch the lines. I’m not going to lie, seeing Walker ride to the starting line first really burned me up, so I wanted more than anything to get that points lead back in my possession.”

Maxxis swept the XC2 Pro Am podium, with Marshal Goings taking the victory and Cole Richardson and Fred Marley in second and third place. Richardson, Marley and Goings are first, second and third in points for the class.

Maxxis congratulates Chris Borich on his record-setting achievement, and thanks him for proving again that Maxxis is the brand of champions.
