Hart Leads Maxxis Podium Sweep

Hunter Hart (Maxxis/Ithaca Recreation Sports/Fly Racing) bested constant rain and a muddy, almost-liquid track to take his first-ever XC1 Pro and overall win. A rookie in the class, Hart topped the podium at the AMSOIL GNCC Ironman, flanked by Jarrod McClure (JMR/Maxxis/Elka/Moose Racing) and Chris Borich (Maxxis/Fly Racing/Ye Olde Cycle Barn) in second and third place. The 13th and final round of the season was held October 26-27 in Crawfordsville, Indiana.

Starting in sixth place, Hart moved ahead steadily throughout the race, crossing the finish line 1.7 seconds ahead of McClure. Hart ran Maxxis Razr 2s in the front and rear, choosing larger sizes which he later said helped him in the day’s soggy conditions. “The 23”-22” combo was amazing,” he noted on Instagram.

Borich and McClure both finished well in points for the season, with Borich in third place overall and McClure fifth.
