Maxxis Sweeps GNCC Podium

Chris Borich, Walker Fowler and Chris Bithell swept the XC1 Pro podium at GNCC Round 5, held April 26-27 in Springville, Indiana.

Bithell began two hours of fiercely competitive racing by grabbing the holeshot, his first ever as a pro. He went on to hold the lead for three fourths of the race. Borich made steady progress to join Bithell and Fowler in the front three halfway through, gaining the front spot in the final lap with Fowler close behind. The two crossed the finish line less than a second apart.

The day was also good for Maxxis in XC2, with SICC Racing’s Marshall Goings taking the victory and AmPro Yamaha’s Cole Richardson grabbing second place. Rick Cecco dominated the morning race, taking third place overall and second in his 4×4 Pro class.

Maxxis took its second podium sweep of the weekend in the 250 A motorcycle race, with a win for Craig Delong, second place for Michael Witkowski and third for Austin Lee. The XC2 motorcycle race saw Chris Douglas grabbing the holeshot and Maxxis/KLIM/DirtWise KTM Race Team’s Jesse Groemm taking third place. Mandi Mastin earned second place in Women Pro, while Lucas Towery was fourth overall in the morning race and third in Sportsman A. Doug Blackwell took the Senior A victory.

Maxxis congratulates Chris Borich, Marshall Goings, Craig Delong and Doug Blackwell on their victories and thanks all of its riders for their fine performances.
