Maxxis’ sponsored riders Caroline Buchanan and Maris Strombergs won the latest round of the UCI BMX Supercross World Cup, held June 13 in Berlin, Germany. 

After winning the previous day’s time trial by a full second, Buchanan began race day by winning every heat, and was seeded fastest for the semi-final. After taking second place in the semi-final by just one tenth of a second, she won the main event with a pass at the final corner and a hard charge to the finish line.

Strombergs also won decisively, after taking the lead in the men’s race in the first straight. “I was looking forward to come here, but I did not know what to expect. I had high expectations, and right from the first practice I felt I could win the whole race,” he told uci.ch.
