Danny Hart Wins 3rd Straight UCI World Cup DH Race

MS Mondraker Team’s Danny Hart used slick conditions to his advantage in a winning run at UCI Mountain Bike World Cup DH #7. The final downhill World Cup race of 2016 was held September 3 in Vallnord, Andorra.

Despite rainy weather and the resulting slippery course, Hart displayed what dirtmountainbike.com called “amazing bike handling skill.” He completed his final run in 4:13.611 and finished the season just 26 points behind the winning rider in the race for the championship.

Along with his MS Mondraker teammates Laurie Greenland and Markus Pekoll, Hart has done exceptionally well in his first year running Maxxis tires. In addition to his victory at Vallnord, he won the series’ last two races, at Lenzerheide and Mont Ste. Anne. The wins are the first World Cup victories of his career. The three Maxxis-sponsored riders also won the Overall Team category for the Downhill World Cup.

Greg Minnaar, a longtime Maxxis-sponsored rider and a downhill legend, turned in an excellent performance at Vallnord. His final run put him in the lead for a time and earned him second place for the day.

Maxxis congratulates Danny Hart on his victory and thanks all of its riders for their fine performances.
