An entirely flat course had riders in single file for much of the 124-kilometer stage. Ryan made a pass on the finishing straight and crossed the finish line first, with a final time of 3:06:58. “I’m over the moon right now,” she said. “As a So-Cal girl, to win a stage of the Amgen Tour of California was so special. It’s a World Tour race, so I was sprinting against the best, and it’s also a race that’s close to my heart as California’s biggest race. I couldn’t be happier right now, and I’m thankful for my team for believing in me and pushing me to be my best out there.”

The current overall leader of the women’s race, Ryan will defend her ranking on Stage 2’s 108-kilometer course, which winds through the mountains of South Lake Tahoe. The route features epic climbs, including the eight-mile Kingsbury Grade.

Maxxis is proud to sponsor Kendall Ryan and all the members of Team TIBCO-Silicon Valley Bank, and congratulates Ms. Ryan on achieving her biggest career victory to date.
