The time has come from 3 to 15 January 2021; then Le Dakar will be held again! The 43rd edition will again take place in Saudi Arabia.
Race director David Castera promises to present the participants a completely new course: “The course is one hundred percent new, with not a single kilometer of last year’s route”, said the Frenchman.
The 2021 route will be a lot more technical and slower than the 2020 edition, when on a number of days there were many long straight sections at top speed. “The course will be slower, more technical and a lot more varied with dunes in the first and last stage. Fast and slow parts will alternate in all stages.”
