The development of Maxxis in the UK dates back to 1963 when Bickers was founded. A hugely successful company still active today and one of the leading lights of the motorcycle industry, Bickers distributes high-profile brands synonymous with quality, style and safety.

In 1998 there was a management buyout at Bickers, while in 2005, in a joint venture with Maxxis, Maxxis International UK plc was established to look after sales of tyres in the UK and Ireland.

2005 also saw a move from the original company base in Ipswich to its new 3.5-acre site in Felixstowe, with a satellite office in Coventry.

In the UK, the Maxxis distributor for car, 4×4 and van tyre products is Stapleton’s Tyre Services, and on the bicycle front both Madison and Extra work to ensure the comprehensive Maxxis bicycle product range is available in England, Scotland and Wales.
