{"id":34523,"date":"2015-06-15T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2015-06-15T04:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.maxxis.com\/tw\/fowler-wins-gncc-round-8-maxxis-sweeps-xc2-podium\/"},"modified":"2021-04-16T11:05:51","modified_gmt":"2021-04-16T15:05:51","slug":"fowler-wins-gncc-round-8-maxxis-sweeps-xc2-podium","status":"publish","type":"news","link":"https:\/\/www.maxxis.com\/tw\/news\/fowler-wins-gncc-round-8-maxxis-sweeps-xc2-podium\/","title":{"rendered":"Fowler Wins GNCC Round 8; Maxxis Sweeps XC2 Podium"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In a winning weekend for Maxxis which included an XC2 podium sweep, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/walkerfowlerracing\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"Walker Fowler\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Walker Fowler<\/a> took his fourth victory of the season at <a href=\"http:\/\/gnccracing.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"GNCC\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">GNCC<\/a> presented by Maxxis Round 8.  he race, the John Penton, was held June 6 in Millfield, Ohio.<\/p>\n<p>Round 8 started on a high note for Maxxis when Chris Bithell of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/pages\/Bithell-Racing\/244218577415\" title=\"Bithell Racing\">Bithell Racing<\/a>\/Maxxis\/Precision took the holeshot and held the lead for the first two laps. Fowler grabbed the lead after the second lap, and held it for the remainder of the race after the fourth lap.  he N-Fab\/AmPro Yamaha\/Maxxis\/Lonestar rider finished 31 seconds ahead of the next racer, and was joined on the podium by fellow Maxxis rider <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/brycen.neal.5\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"Brycen Neal\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Brycen Neal<\/a>. Neal, of Maxxis\/B. Neal Motorsports, took third place in XC1 Pro with a pass in the last lap. <a href=\"https:\/\/instagram.com\/landonwolfe\/\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"Landon Wolfe\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Landon Wolfe<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ridefox.com\/team.php?m=atv&amp;p=borich\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"Chris Borich\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Chris Borich<\/a> took the fourth and fifth place slots for Maxxis. Fowler, Neal and Borich are second, third and fourth in XC1 points.<\/p>\n<p>In XC2 Pro Am, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/colerichardsonracing\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"Cole Richardson\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Cole Richardson<\/a> racked up his seventh win in eight races, and finished third overall. Cody Collier took his sixth podium of the year with a second-place finish, and Fowler\u2019s fellow Yamaha rider <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/blake.tornes.1\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"Blake  ornes\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Blake  ornes<\/a> sealed Maxxis\u2019 class podium sweep with third place.
