Maxxis Goes Rallying With R19

Maxxis has added rallying to its already impressive list of supported motorsport series. The manufacturer’s Victra R19 high-performance rally tyre was chosen by former champions Darren Pinchin and Karen Jenkins to keep their Proton Satria on track at this year’s Wyedean Forest Rally in Gloucestershire.

The Victra R19 is the perfect combination of performance and durability, meaning that it can endure the toughest competition tests without suffering major wear, whilst at the same time providing excellent grip and braking characteristics. Its independent block pattern and wide stripes have been created to deliver excellent traction, offering drivers the optimum rally driving experience.

The composite shoulder belt has been specially designed to improve the R19’s resistance to punctures and other damage, and its asymmetric band design provides excellent debris removal and good water drainage, making it a great choice of rally tyre.

The recent launch and success of the Maxxis Victra R19 tyre at the Wyedean Forest Rally is great news for Maxxis as managing director, Derek McMartin confirms: “It was fantastic to have had former champions Darren Pinchin and Karen Jenkins choosing the Victra R19 rally tyre for this year’s Wyedean Forest Rally. Being able to add another motorsport to our increasing portfolio is fantastic and we are honoured to know that teams are choosing to compete on Maxxis tyres because of the outstanding performance benefits. We look forward to continuing our support of both the sport and its competitors to ensure we continue to build our brand awareness further.”
