Mel Pocock Moves from MX to 4x4

After sustaining a severe injury to his arm at the opening round of the MX2 at the Maxxis ACU British Motocross Championship, Mel Pocock from Dixon Racing Team, made a return to MX soil to showcase his 4×4 Eurofighter by doing a lap of honour during the day’s events.

Due to the injury sustained, Mel is still on a long road to recovery. However this didn’t stop him making the journey to watch his team mate, Max Anstie, compete in the MXGP of Great Britain at Matterley Basin in Winchester and get back on the track for the first time since his crash in the passenger seat of his new 4×4 vehicle to give his fans the thumbs up.

Since building a great amount of trust for Maxxis on the MX track, Pocock made the decision to run his new vehicle on Maxxis’ most sought after extreme 4×4 tyre, the M8060 Trepador competition tyre.

Mel said: “Being able to get out on the track to see the fans was great. I was so overwhelmed to see how many people stood up and gave me a cheer to show their support. The Maxxis Trepadors that we used on the ORA Eurofighter are not only the coolest looking tyres on the market, but also work the best too.”
