Ultra4 Europe Swaps the Foothills for Festival’s Famous Hillclimb

Ultra4 Europe pleases crowds at this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed

4×4 series organisers Ultra4 Europe was given the privilege of exhibiting at this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed. As well as having its impressive vehicles on show, the opportunity meant the Maxxis sponsored championship could show off their skills during one of the most famous time trials in motorsport.

The Goodwood Festival of Speed brings car enthusiasts, world champions, and motorsport royalty together each year for one of the world’s most eagerly awaited events in the motoring calendar. Celebrating the very best in automotive design, past and present, it was obviously an honour for Ultra4 Europe to show off its race cars at the annual Hillclimb event for the first time, as Team Gigglepin Racing driver Jerry Hunt explains:

“Being invited to exhibit at this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed was very special for us. For years we have dreamed of showing off our off-road vehicles at this prestigious event, so to be selected to display and drive them amongst some of the finest from around the world at this year’s Festival of Speed is something both I and the team are very proud of.

“We usually compete in the foothills of Europe’s most iconic mountains, so the Goodwood Festival of Speed activity field was a great change of scenery for the Gaz-Fab type7 truck. Throughout the weekend we offered passenger rides to visitors that have never experienced the kind of off-road racing that we do, which was awesome and it was clear that they loved it from the feedback we got.”

In addition to giving visitors the opportunity to experience 4×4 off-road racing, Ultra4 Europe and the driver were also on hand throughout the weekend to meet and talk to members of the public about the team, series, and specifications of the vehicles, as well as Maxxis’ M8060 Trepador tyres.
