<\/a>Fowler was in a prime position for the first eight miles of the race, close behind the rider holding the lead. An unhappy encounter with a grapevine stopped his progress, flipping his A V. \u201cWe got down in the pro-only section with some big rocks on a ridge,\u201d he told gnccracing.com. \u201cAnd a big section of grapevine went through one a-arm, over the frame rail, under a foot peg, and out the back, and it stopped the bike dead. hankfully, a young man named Gage and his friends jumped in, and we got the bike flipped over and worked on it for forever, or so it felt like. When I finally got the bike going, I was sitting third place in XC2.\u201d<\/p>\n

As Fowler worked to regain the time lost to his mishap, Borich held on to second place. He then briefly took the lead during the last half-lap. Fowler had by that time moved into the front group, and soon took the lead through to the finish line. Maxxis\u2019 rider Brycen Neal also did well, taking fourth place in XC1 Pro. Fowler continues to hold the points lead by an 85-point margin, with Borich currently in third place overall and Neal fourth.<\/p>\n

Maxxis\u2019 sponsored rider Hunter Hart took the XC2 victory for his third win of the season. With five additional podiums and 201 points, Hart is currently a strong second in the points race. \u00a0<\/p>\n

In U V, Maxxis\u2019 riders swept the podium, with Hunter Miller taking the win and Cody Miller and im Farr in second and third place. Hunter Miller leads the XC1 Pro U V class in points, with Cody Miller in second place.<\/p>\n

Other Maxxis riders also had an excellent weekend, with Layne McCormick taking his fifth Super Mini win of the year and upping his points total to 161. McCormick\u2019s first-place finish also earned first place overall in Youth classes for the day. Racing 4×4 Pro, Maxxis\u2019 Kevin Cunningham and Kevin rantham were second and third for the class and for the morning.<\/p>\n
