Kabush, Nash Win at Bonelli Park

Scott-3Rox’ Geoff Kabush and the Luna Chix’ Katerina Nash rode Maxxis to the podium at Round 2 of the US Cup. The races were held March 15-16 in Bonelli Park, California.

Longtime Maxxis rider Kabush gained the lead in the race for the Elite Men’s Cup with his win. Cyclingnews.com praised what it called his “savvy race.” Kabush rode steadily around fifth to seventh place until the latter part of the race, when he moved ahead of the front two riders and gained the lead, increasing it to 50 seconds by the finish line.

Kabush was delighted by his victory and the performance of his prototype Maxxis tires. “It was really gratifying to pull off such a huge victory and launch the 2014 season for SCOTT-3Rox Racing. I used all my experience, skills, and equipment to put together a special performance and take a decisive win and the overall lead in the US CUP series. I raced the new Maxxis PACE which really gave me the control, comfort, and speed to take advantage of the challenging course and conditions,” he said. “It was a talented international field of riders and I conserved energy amongst the chasers until the last two laps, where I was able to attack and solo in for the big win. I’m really looking forward to defending the #1 plate next weekend in Fontana, California at Round 3 of the US CUP.” To hear Kabush talk about his latest win, visit http://bit.ly/1hvXDf3

Maxxis congratulates Geoff Kabush and Katerina Nash on their victories, and thanks all of its riders for their fine performances.
