Maxxis Offers Best in the Desert Contingencies

Less than a month after announcing its title sponsorship of the Best in the Desert Maxxis Triple Crown and Best in the Desert Maxxis Vegas to Reno, Maxxis has massively increased its contingencies for the series. The company is offering a total of $333,000 in cash for Best in the Desert in 2020, while reducing by half the number of entries required for race eligibility.

In all UTV classes, riders finishing first will take home $1,500, with second place riders pocketing $1,000 and third-place finishers receiving $500. Maxxis is also offering a $500 bonus for first place in each of the Maxxis Triple Crown races, along with a $5000 bonus to winners of the series championship who ride Maxxis tires in all race rounds.

For light truck drivers, contingencies will be offered for the 4400, 6100, 7100, 7200, 7300 and 8100 classes. Drivers can win $1,000 for first place, $500 for second place and $300 for third place. Within the specified classes, an additional $500 will be awarded for first place in each Maxxis Triple Crown race and a $5,000 bonus is available to winners of the series championship who use Maxxis tires in all race rounds.

In 14 motorcycle classes and three quad classes, contingencies ranging from $500 to $50 will be available to first, second and third place winners in each race of the season.

Among other eligibility requirements for these contingencies, racers must run Maxxis tires from start to finish, including spares, and must affix two specified Maxxis decals to their vehicles, visible from both the left and the right. Other rules and conditions apply, and complete information is available at maxxis.com/bitd-contingency.
