Crankworx Innsbruck: The Last Hurrah

The final Crankworx event in Innsbruck had arrived. After so many wonderful years in the beautiful Austrian location, 2024 would be the last year that the Crankworx World Tour would visit the city. Thankfully, this year’s edition did not disappoint and left Austrian fans with great memories.

The European Whip-Off Championships kicked things off with a spectacular show from lots of talented riders eager to show off their styles. Eddie (Shreddie) Reynolds (Kona Bikes) landed on the podium in the Men’s competition, while Georgia Astle (Devinci Cycles) took the win in the Women’s.

Speed and Style was a crowd pleaser as usual and this time around, Bernd Winkler (Rose Bikes) and Jackson Frew (We Are One Composites) represented Maxxis on the Men’s podium in first and third place.

Next up was the Dual Slalom. Jackson Frew was right back on the podium, adding to his King of Crankworx points with a second-place finish.

The Pump Track challenge was, as always, entertaining, and just like that, Frew earned another Crankworx medal, this time in third place.

Finally, the Slopestyle wrapped up the good times in Innsbruck. Emil Johansson (Trek Bikes), still recovering from a broken collarbone, put down a podium-worthy run and landed in third. Maxxis athlete Erik Fedko (YT Industries) and Chance Moore (We Are One Composites) just missed out, placing fourth and fifth.
