Maxxis’ new tire for electric vehicles, the VICTRA SPORT EV, has won a SEMA Best New Product Award in the Tire and Related Product category. The award was announced on the second day of the internationally known trade show, which runs through November 4 in Las Vegas.

The Tire and Related Product category is one of 18 in SEMA’s annual contest, which honors “the most innovative and cutting-edge automotive aftermarket products…Winners were selected based on a variety of factors that included superiority of innovation, technical achievement, quality and workmanship, consumer appeal and marketability and more.” SEMA chose this year’s winners from over 2,000 entries across all categories.

Specifically designed for EVs and available for purchase in the near future, the VICTRA SPORT EV is a summer ultra-high-performance tire which improves upon the OEM fitment. The engineering team focused on improving fuel economy and a longer tread life through a new-generation low rolling resistance EV compound. The VICTRA SPORT EV also offers a quieter, more comfortable ride with the help from our new Maxxis Silent technology.
