Maxxis Premitra 5 HP5 excels in the Tyre Tests of the journal "WhichCar"

The Australian car magazine "WhichCar" tested 10 tyres in its 2020 tyre test, testing tyre weight, slalom capability, dry braking and cornering, wet braking and cornering, and tyre noise. Maxxis Premitra 5 HP5 came in second place overall and was one of the most affordable. Maxxis Premitra 5 HP5 tires were tested with a range of other premium and mid-range tires on a Hyundai Tucson with 225/55 R18 tires; a popular medium-sized SUV both in Australia and the UK.

The next area where the Premitra 5 HP5 excelled was in the dry braking test, where Maxxi’s tyres had the shortest braking distance for all tested tyres and also exceeded expectations by having almost the same braking distance on wet; Maxxi’s tyres went only 64 cm longer during wet braking is dry. This gave an impressive and safety-filled result where we took first place in both brake tests.

“As if the dry braking was not impressive enough, its wet braking performance made Maxxis Premitra 5 the King of Braking 2020.”

Maxxis Premitra 5 HP5 continued its winning streak by topping the league table in wet driving with the fastest cornering in the wet test.

“Here we like surprises and it really delivered Maxxis on wet surfaces. Through our two wet curves, they pulled away from all the challengers and showed that a good grip is paying off”.

In total, the Maxxis Premitra 5 HP5 saw itself beaten by only one premium tire, continental premiumcontact 6 , which according to the test costs AUS$ 20 more per tire. The performance of the Maxxis tyre, together with the clear safety advantage thanks to its short braking distance, make this tyre an excellent choice for all types of summer tire driving.

Available in a wide range of sizes from 195/65 R15 to 245/50 R18 and suitable for vehicles from Audi A1 to Volvo XC70 and many more in between. The Premitra 5 HP5 is an excellent tire choice for a large number of motorists.
