MAXXIS VICTRA SPORT 5 impresses again in AMS 2020 Tyre Test

The German engine magazine Auto Motor &Sport conducted a tyre test with 11 premium and mid-class 225/45 R 18 summer tires for comparison. Maxxis Victra Sport 5 stood up well to the premium opponents in most areas and was the most affordable tire at the top of the field.

The AMS tyre test was conducted with a 3-Series BMW in a variety of test areas, from wet and dry braking, maneuvering to subjective operator assessment of hydroplaning, comfort, sound and rolling resistance and finally the price was factored into the assessment.

The test results showed a higher average dry driving speed than Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 5; a higher subjective driver assessment of maneuvering and comfort than other middle-class tires in the tests, a faster average wet driving speed than the Continental PremiumContact 6, Pirelli P Zero PZ4 and Bridgestone Turanza T005, for 15% lower price than its nearest premium competitor Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 5, and a whopping 43% lower than the most expensive tire in the tests.

This shows that it is an affordable ultra-high performance tyre, perfect for sports cars, hot hatches and even regular drivers, for a fraction of the cost of competitors.
