With victories in both main races, Team Babbitt’s presented by Maxxis’ Tyler Bowers won the third round of the AMSOIL Arenacross series, held January 18-19 in Louisville, Kentucky.
The defending champion took the holeshot in the first main and held the lead through the entire race. Bowers’ teammate and the series’ current points leader, Zach Ames, took fifth place in the first main.
Bowers started from the second row in the next race, but gained the second-place spot by the seventh lap and took the lead in the tenth, holding the front position through to the finish line. Ames’ finish was hampered by a mechanical problem, and he took 13th in the second main and ninth for the round. The weekend’s results put Bowers within three points of Ames in the points race.
The next round of Arenacross is scheduled for January 25-26 in Greensboro, North Carolina. Maxxis congratulates Tyler Bowers on his victory and wishes the riders of Team Babbitt’s presented by Maxxis the best at Round 4.
