Maxxis to Showcase 'World of Maxxis' at Autosport

Maxxis will be showcasing all of the extreme machines that run on its high performance tyres at the Autosport International Show 2016. The range will feature everything from competition bicycles to bespoke 4×4 vehicles on the stand, and they will all be kept in check by the associated crews, Maxxis management and, of course, the Maxxis Babes.

Top line racing vehicles from the worlds of motocross, off-road 4×4, sidecar cross and drifting will be joined by road, gravel, fat bike, downhill and BMX bicycles to show the breadth of wheeled sports Maxxis supports and excels in. The stand will also have a Lee Bower ZX636 Kawasaki Stunt Bike positioned to give visitors the opportunity to create a picture of them performing the craziest stunts they can think of for a chance to win prizes; and drivers, riders and the Babes will be signing and selling the brand new 2016 Maxxis calendars.

The Autosport International show is an important event on the packed Maxxis calendar, as managing director Derek McMartin confirms: “Every year we say it, but Autosport this year really should be the biggest and best yet for Maxxis. The show is a fantastic way to kick off the year, and an even better opportunity to get all of our race teams, riders and drivers together in one place to have some fun as well as a great platform to launch our new sponsorships for the first time. This year’s ‘World of Maxxis’ theme is all about showcasing all the different motorsports we are involved in. Not only will Team Japspeed be wowing crowds in the Live Action arena, but our stand will also feature Shane Lynch’s infamous 370z trying to hit a clipping point – a unique photo opportunity for every drift fan. Our stand will also include a BSB pit garage, a 4×4 vehicle navigating rough terrain, an MX start gate, and the Babes demonstrating the role they play at each of the events. It will give a real flavour of each of the sports we’re involved in, and hopefully inspire people to visit more competition events during 2016.

“We’ll also setting up an on-site Maxxis Centre of Excellence garage in conjunction with Tyre Safe, where people that identify common tyre faults can win an iPad. With the bad weather coming in it’s an important time of year for car safety, and regularly checking your tyres is a message we’re very keen to help promote.”

In addition to all of the live activities at the show, we will also be showing the Maxxis Tyre Challenge, where drivers and riders from Maxxis sponsored teams battled it out against each other by trying out various different motorsports. It will be the first time the whole series will be shown together.
