Maxxis rider Max Anstie secured three race wins once again, to take the red plate at Round 5 of the Maxxis British Motocross Championship.
Round 5, held at Blaxhall circuit, proved a great circuit for Dixon Racing Team Kawasaki as Max qualified and took pole position by 1.6 seconds.
Race 1 saw Max not getting the best start as he rounded the first corner in 12th. Max was soon through the pack into second behind series leader Steven Lenoir, then as Max was on to Lenoir to battle for the lead he jumped a little too far and landed in the braking bumps for the next corner and fell. Remounting in 4th Max showed great speed as he sliced through the top 3 to take his first win of the day.
Race 2 saw the rider got off to a great start and comfortably lead to his second win of the day.
Race 3 and Max again took a good start just missing out on the holeshot by a few millimetres but normal service was resumed as Max quickly put himself to the front and again put on a class act to win by over 30 seconds as he floated around the bumpy Suffolk circuit.
Max Anstie said ‘Today was fun and I really enjoyed the circuit although it got very bumpy, it was nice to get the Championship lead and the Red plate after missing the first round due to injury. I have never had a Red plate before.’
