It’s a DRIFTlife and Maxxis to Unveil Team’s New Machine at Autosport

It’s a DRIFTlife is pleased to announce that it will be unveiling its new Nissan S14 drift car on the Maxxis Tyres UK stand at Autosport International in January.

To ensure that the team continues to develop its profile over Europe, the team’s Nissan S14 has had its engine replaced with a 6.2 litre LS3 power unit from a Monaro. This will generate much more power with very little weight change, allowing driver Christian to compete at the sharp end of the grid and enjoy improved reliability at the same time.

The car has also had a full safety cage, Corbeau seats, Luke harnesses and fire extinguisher installed to provide better safety and protection for both car and driver in the event of an accident.

A full set of Geomaster 2’s have been installed to lower the car without ruining the ‘in-travel’ alignment, ensure more grip and provide better steering angles at high speed. The new components will also dramatically improve the steering lock and dynamic alignment ranges, leading to superior traction and less tyre wear. An Accusump System has also been fitted to help with oil surge and help protect against engine damage during demanding racing conditions.

The launch of It’s a DRIFTlife’s latest build marks a key milestone for the team as managing director Matthew Jarvis confirms: “We are extremely proud to announce the unveiling of the It’s a DRIFTlife LS14 on the Maxxis Tyres UK stand at Autosport International. The team have worked extremely hard over the last 12 months to ensure Christian Lewis has a reliable, fast and awesome looking machine to pilot through the 2015 season.”

“The team are delighted to be associated with Maxxis tyres for the second consecutive season, and cannot thank them enough for their continued support in one of the biggest high adrenalin sports in the world. We would also like to thank all of our other sponsors and partners for their continued support into 2015.”

The car is due to make its competitive debut in the 2015 King of Europe, but visitors to Autosport International between 8th and 11th January 2015 will be able to get up close and personal with it, on the Maxxis stand located in hall 20, stand 2250.
