It’s a DriftLife support Goodwood Festival of Speed 2015

Maxxis-sponsored driver Ryan Cooper of it’s a Driftlife, recently supported the prestigious Goodwood Festival of Speed 2015 alongside the Royal Air Force Association (RAFA) by showcasing his freshly rebuilt car on their stand.

RAFA is a registered charity that provides welfare and supports the RAF Family. The RAF family includes all serving and ex-serving personnel and their families. Helping a young child missing their parent whilst they serve the country overseas on operations, Injured Airmen, World War 2 veterans and everything in between, RAFA is there to support them.

Ryan Cooper said of the event ‘It is a huge honour for me to be a part of this show – The event is like nothing else, huge doesn’t cover it. Even being there for the full weekend we still didn’t see everything, nonstop action on the hill along with a multitude of action packed stands at every turn. The smell of race fuel and burning rubber constantly filled the air, along with the sound track of every type of engine imaginable.’

‘It was an amazing experience displaying my vehicle amongst some of the finest vehicles from around the world and the car received a lot of interest throughout the weekend’.

‘Being a serving member of the Royal Air Force supporting RAFA was an honour, the work they do is so important and makes a huge difference to so many families. RAFA were at the show to raise awareness of the charity and raise money through donations and the sale of a large range of merchandise, from children’s flying suits to inflatable red arrows. This enables them to continue their extremely vital work and support. One of our Key sponsors Icaris work closely with RAFA, looking after all of their software, ensuring the volunteers time is used as efficiently as possible, having the right information available to them when required and ensuring donations can be made with the minimum amount of fuss.

‘In addition to supporting RAFA I was on hand to talk all things drift with the visitors, not only promoting Drifting as a sport but also Drifting as a serving member of the armed forces and promoting and Representing the RAF. I am extremely proud to serve in the RAF and events like this allow me to raise awareness of the work the RAF do along with answering any questions future Airmen or Airwomen may have. The Services very much embrace the Work hard play hard ethos.’
