Maxxis and Pendrich Kawasaki victorious at British Masters

It was only a short(ish) drive for Scotland based team Pendrich Kawasaki for what is considered their ‘home’ round of the British Masters championship as they visited Dean Moor for round two which lies only 130 miles south-west of team HQ in scenic Cumbria.

Not a complete stranger to this track, Maxxis rider Bryan Mackenzie made an impact right from the start claiming the highest qualifying position for MX2. Bryan then went on to secure two race wins and gain the maximum points from the day leaving round two not only the MX2 winner on the day but also leaving Dean Moor as the championship leader.

It was a great result for the team as Bryan explains: ‘The track was very technical but unusual circumstances made it so there was hardly any dirt left on the surface in same places. I’m really pleased with the result, it was a perfect weekend for me.’

Team nipper, Lee Perfect, had another lesson in the art of motocross as he was introduced to conditions and a surface that he has very rarely come up against in his young career. Having to tone down his aggressive riding style to compensate for the minimum traction available, Lee had an up and down weekend as he finely tuned his technique which culminated in a highest placing of 5th place in the final of his four moto’s over the weekend and earned himself 8th position overall.

The Pendrich Kawasaki team now head to Canada Heights for Round 3 of the Maxxis British Motocross Championship on the 3rd May.
