Maxxis rider takes centre stage with Tour de Yorkshire first stage win

Maxxis UK is celebrating success after its sponsored rider, Harry Tanfield, secured a breath-taking victory for Canyon Eisberg in the opening stage of the 2018 Tour de Yorkshire.

Riding on Maxxis’ Padrone TR tyres, the 23-year-old produced a scintillating performance to become the first ever British rider to pull on the leader’s points, sprint and most aggressive rider jerseys.

Commenting on Harry’s success, Maxxis UK brand manager for bicycle tyres, Stephen Robinson, said: “We’re all thrilled with Harry’s victory here at Maxxis and incredibly proud to be supporting such a fantastic rider. To be a small part of what he has achieved from a setup point of view is a tremendous privilege and is further evidence of the racing credentials of our Maxxis Road Range. We can’t wait to see how he performs over the next stage of the race.”

The Padrone TR is the lightest tyre in Maxxis’ extensive tubeless road offering, weighing just 260g for a 23c size. Featuring specialist SilkShield technology, each component allows the tyre to remain durable and reliable in racing environments.
