The Maxxis Premitra 5 HP5 tyre was tested amongst a range of other premium and mid-range tyres on a Hyundai Tucson wearing 225/55 R18 tyres; a popular mid-size SUV size both in Australia and the UK.

The next area of excellence for the Premitra 5 HP5 was in the dry braking test, where the Maxxis tyre showed the shortest braking distance of all tyres tested, and then exceeded expectations by almost replicating those same braking distances in the wet; the Maxxis tyres travelled just 64cm further under wet braking than dry.
