Pure BMX crowned as national team champions

The Maxxis sponsored Pure BMX racing team has beaten tough competition in the British BMX Series to grab the top podium position on Maxxis DTH and Torch tyres.

Pure BMX, the new 2017 national champions, comprises of ten members, including 2016 Olympian Kyle Evans and BMX veteran Alan Hill, all of whom achieved fantastic results individually throughout the championships, which started in March and completed on 13th August. Between them they managed to achieve an outstanding nine wins, a testament to the talent that the team holds. 

The Pure team has been sponsored by Maxxis since the beginning of 2016. Now in its second year, the partnership has allowed the riders access to the full range of Maxxis BMX tyres, including the superlight DTH tyre, which was designed especially for the 2008 Beijing Olympics to offer acceleration capabilities like no other tyre on the market.

Commenting on the results, Richard Townsend, manager of Pure BMX, said: “Words can’t explain how delighted we are. I know how hard the team has worked and how much they deserve this. It wasn’t all plain sailing but every single one of the riders pushed through and gave it their all to ensure that we lifted that trophy.
