  • Paul, how did you get into drifting?

I first got into drifting 8 years ago when I went to Silverstone for a test day.

  • What was your first vehicle?

My first vehicle was a Nissan Silvia S13

  • How long have you been competing in the BDC?

I have been competing at the BDC for 5 years now. The year before that I was competing in the European EDC.

  • What are your aims for the season?

I am hoping to win back the title and also the contructors title!

  • Have you made any modifications to your car since last season?

We have improved the fuelling and cooling system, making it more reliable and powerful!

  • What do you think are the major attributes of the Maxxis MAZ1 Drift tyre?

The grip on the MAZ1s is definitely one of the major attributes. The high level of grip allows us to drive on edge and have more contact.

  • How does the MAZ1 Drift compare to other tyres you’ve used for drifting in the past?

The MAZ1 Drifts are a lot better than other tyres I have used and, in particular, a lot more consistent. You know you will get the same performance from each set.

  • The BDC is now one of the largest championships in Europe. How do you compare the BDC to other championships you’ve entered?

The BDC is by far the best championship in Europe for drivers and fans!

  • Who are your strongest competitors this year?

My strongest competition this year would have to be my teammates.

  • How are you going to make sure you’ve got the edge over your competitors?

I’ll just be making sure that I go out there with a positive attitude at every round and that I give my best possible performance!
