Cody Bradbury Wins Overall, Dustin “Battle Axe” Jones Wins UTV Turbo Production
Maxxis athletes made the Best in the Desert Maxxis Tires Silver State 300 their own when Can-Am’s Cody Bradbury won the overall as well as his UTV Open class, and his teammate Dustin “Battle Axe” Jones’ took the victory in UTV Turbo Production.
Bradbury powered his way through the desert to cross the finish line in 5:09:08 hours. “Stoked to grab the overall win at @bestinthedesert SS300. Pretty crazy to put the @canamoffroad Maverick R on the box with only a few test miles!” he said on Instagram.
Jones prevailed over his competition in 5:14:39 hours. “BRINGING HOME THE WIN IN PRO TURBO. What a great race and the team worked all day keeping us up front! Congrats Can-Ateammates @codybradbury22 and @corbinleaverton for taking the overall,” Jones enthused on Instagram.
Both athletes’ UTVs were outfitted with Maxxis RAZR XT tires, known for their superior stability, cornering and traction and for performing even in the most rugged off-road conditions.
A favorite of athletes across racing disciplines, the Maxxis Tires Silver State 300 began and ended north of Alamo, Nevada. The next Best in the Desert event is the Casey Folks Vegas to Reno, named for the series’ late founder and scheduled for August 14-17.
